Recently, many friends have shown great interest in civilian hyperbaric oxygen therapy. After undergoing hyperbaric oxygen treatment, patients suffering from insomnia have regained adequate sleep, and those who were in a subhealth state have regained their vitality. Patients have experienced a significant improvement in consciousness—some are even able to interact with their families and engage in physical communication. Even severely comatose patients have been able to wake up and avoid the development of delayed encephalopathy, among other benefits. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy in civilian chambers is truly effective. We’re sure many friends would like to give it a try. Let’s take a closer look at the treatment procedures and precautions involved in using a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for civilian use.
Step 1: Enter the cabin
Before entering the civilian hyperbaric chamber, staff members should carefully check their belongings. It is strictly prohibited to bring flammable and explosive items (such as mobile phones and lighters) into the hyperbaric chamber. The chamber is equipped with music, books, and pamphlets. The hyperbaric chamber is fitted with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable temperature.
Step 2: Pressurization

Start pressurizing; pressurization duration: 20 minutes. Due to changes in air pressure, you may experience symptoms such as ear fullness and ear swelling. In such cases, it’s important to promptly perform pressure-equalization maneuvers, such as swallowing, yawning, or gently pinching your nose. If these symptoms do not subside, please notify the staff outside the civilian hyperbaric chamber immediately.
Step 3 Voltage stabilization
The patient puts on a mask, ensuring it fits snugly over the mouth and nose. Do not allow any gas to leak from the mask. Begin inhaling oxygen. The duration of oxygen inhalation is... 30 minutes. You can breathe oxygen through your mouth, or you can breathe simultaneously through both your mouth and nose. However, avoid over-inhaling oxygen. Don’t take breaths too quickly to prevent symptoms such as numbness in the hands and feet, as well as feelings of dullness and other discomforts.
Step 4: Rest
The patient removed the mask and rested. Five minutes. You may stretch your limbs to relax your body in your seat, but please don’t walk around casually. If the passenger is unable to do so, please assist the cabin crew by helping them turn over or perform relaxation exercises.
Step 5: Administer oxygen again.
Oxygen inhalation duration is: 30 minutes.
Step 6: Stress Relief
The patient removes the mask and rests. The civilian oxygen chamber begins to depressurize. The depressurization time is... 20 minutes. During the decompression process, please avoid holding your breath or coughing forcefully. Meanwhile, the temperature inside the civilian hyperbaric chamber may drop. Patients should wear clothing to stay warm.
